Intelligence Agencies Report Over 2700 U.S. Soldiers either Killed or Injured in Afghanistan

KABUL: According to reports made by various intelligence agencies whilst accepting that the exact number of U.S. soldiers killed in Afghanistan is unknown state that in 18 months of fighting at least 1200 have been killed.

Reports from the Russian intelligence agency state that approximately 373 US soldiers have been killed and more than 585 have suffered critical injuries in only the first six months of the war. Reports from other intelligence agencies, (including Iranian and Indian) place the figure after one year of the US crusade in Afghanistan to be over 600, and that after 18 months to be over 1200 US dead with a further 1500 critically wounded.

It should be noted that these figures relate only to American casualties and say nothing of the casualties sustained by other countries enthusiastically partaking in this crusade in Afghanistan.
